Total Grain Marketing FS (TGM) has completed a significant upgrade at its Neoga, Illinois facility, aimed at improving services for farmers and grain buyers. The expansion includes a new rail loadout facility, an additional 1.5 million bushels of storage capacity, and two new dump pits that triple the grain dumping speed. The Neoga site, which handles corn, soybeans, and wheat, now boasts a total storage capacity of nearly 4.5 million bushels. This upgrade allows grain to be shipped more efficiently via CN rail to poultry markets in Mississippi and export destinations in the Gulf. The new system enables grain to be dumped at a rate of 75,000 bushels per hour, significantly reducing truck wait times. Additionally, a new 40-car railroad spur and loadout system can load 105-car unit trains in just 10 to 12 hours, down from the previous 72 hours.
