What's Happening?
The Agriculture Department of Tripura has intensified its efforts to implement the Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP), supported by the World Bank. This initiative aims to boost economic growth and service delivery in rural areas. A state-level orientation program was recently held, which motivated departmental officials to actively engage in the project. Following this, a hands-on training session was conducted on July 24, 2025, for members of the Hukbar and Risha Producer Groups at Farmer Field Schools in Jampuijala Block. The training focused on scientific techniques for raising healthy seedlings using raised bed and protray methods. The session was led by TRESP PMU Agriculture Specialist Mr. Subrata Shib, with technical guidance from experts including Dr. Dhrubajyoti Pal, Dr. Anjan Debnath, and Mr. Pulak Choudhury. Key figures such as Team Lead Mr. Biseswar Talukder and Field Expert Mr. Pradyut Debbarma were present, emphasizing the project's commitment to enhancing technical capacity and encouraging women's participation.
