Eureka Naval Craft, a defense company based in Houston, is increasing the production of its AIRCAT BENGAL MC warship in Asia following a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Singapore shipbuilder Strategic Marine. The partnership aims to deliver a highly advanced Modular Attack Surface Craft (MASC) to the US Navy and allied navies amid rising threats. The AIRCAT BENGAL MC is designed to offer an alternative to traditional naval corvettes and frigates, featuring advanced autonomous navigation systems and modular construction techniques. The vessel can operate fully or semi-autonomously and is capable of carrying a 40-tonne payload at speeds exceeding 50 knots, with a range of 1,000 nautical miles. The collaboration also includes an AUKUS dimension through Eureka's partnership with Australian defense company Greenroom Robotics, which provides the Greenroom Advanced Maritime Autonomy (GAMA) Software system.
