Etihad Cargo, the logistics division of Etihad Airways, is marking two years of successful operations at Ezhou Huahu Airport, a key milestone in its partnership with SF Airlines. Since August 2023, Etihad Cargo has been the first international airline to offer scheduled commercial freighter services in the region, initially operating two flights per week. This frequency increased to four flights per week by October 2023, and further expanded to five flights per week by July 2024. The collaboration has seen Etihad Cargo operate 184 Boeing 777 freighter flights, while SF Airlines has conducted over 200 flights with Boeing 747 freighters. The airport, Asia's first dedicated freighter hub, has facilitated the movement of over 43,000 tonnes of export cargo and 690 tonnes of import cargo through Abu Dhabi, enhancing global logistics.
