The Sarawak Metropolitan Food Cluster (SMFC) Consortium has unveiled its flagship Metropolitan Food Cluster (MFC) Opar project at the Sarawak Agrofest 2025. This initiative, a collaboration between Dutch and Sarawak entities, aims to establish a modern, integrated food cluster using state-of-the-art smart farming technologies. The project includes AI-powered greenhouses, sustainable animal feed processing, and advanced supply chain systems, with the goal of positioning Sarawak as a net food exporter by 2030.
