TIP Group, in collaboration with Sunswap, has launched a long-term trial of a zero-emission transport refrigeration unit (TRU) with Daily Logistics Group (DLG). This initiative aims to decarbonize cold chain logistics by utilizing Sunswap's Endurance, a TRU that integrates advanced battery technology with solar power. The trial involves leasing a trailer to DLG, which will test the zero-emission technology on long-distance European routes. Sunswap's technology, already validated by 16 U.K. customers, promises reliable performance and significant emission reductions. The Endurance unit features solar panels on the trailer roof, a modular battery, and an energy-efficient system, offering a high-performance, zero-emission solution.
