This move was initiated by Ellis Hunt, president of Hunt Brother Corporation. The rezoning aims to accommodate facilities necessary for processing, manufacturing, recycling, and wholesale distribution of goods. The decision follows last year's annexation of 47.31 acres on Hunt Bros. Road, zoned as a Business Park Center. The new industrial park will be adjacent to the Longleaf Business Park, which houses several business warehouses and manufacturing facilities.
