What's Happening?
Lauren Ledwell has been appointed as the new CEO of PEI BioAlliance, a bioscience industry group based in Charlottetown. Ledwell succeeds Rory Francis, the founding CEO, who is retiring after 20 years. Her previous roles include principal at Sandpiper Ventures and positions at Manulife, RBC, and Maple Leaf Foods. Ledwell is also a co-founder of the Women’s Equity Lab in Atlantic Canada and a board member of Venture for Canada. PEI BioAlliance supports the bioscience industry through its Emergence incubator, backing over 50 companies.
