Perseus Mining has announced the retirement of its CEO, Jeff Quartermaine, effective September 30, 2025. Quartermaine, who has led the company for 12 years, is credited with transforming Perseus from a single-mine operation into a multi-mine, multi-jurisdictional gold producer. Under his leadership, Perseus expanded its operations to include three gold mines in Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire, with a fourth mine under construction in Tanzania. Craig Jones, former COO of Newcrest Mining, will succeed Quartermaine. Jones brings over 25 years of global mining experience, having worked in various countries including Australia and Canada.
