Eni's Nguya FLNG Unit to Depart for Congo LNG Project

What's Happening?

Eni has held a sail away ceremony for the Nguya floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) unit in Shanghai, which is set to depart for the Congo LNG project. The unit will be moored offshore the Republic of Congo and used for LNG production. It features advanced technologies for a reduced carbon footprint and was completed in 33 months, setting a record for time-to-market. The unit can process gas from multiple fields, supporting future developments. The refurbished Scarabeo 5 rig will also depart soon to send processed gas to the Nguya unit. Phase 2 of the project is on schedule, with the Nguya unit expected to join Tango FLNG by the end of the year.
