Grimaldi Group has unveiled the Grande Shanghai, the first of ten next-generation Pure Car & Truck Carrier (PCTC) vessels, during a naming ceremony at China Merchants Heavy Industry's shipyard in Jiangsu. Designed in collaboration with naval architecture firm Knud E. Hansen, these vessels mark a significant expansion in Grimaldi's car carrier operations. The Grande Shanghai boasts a capacity of 9,000 units, with subsequent vessels increasing to 9,800 units, positioning them among the largest vehicle carriers in service.
