SkyBus has announced the launch of two new express services, the Eastern Express and Sunshine Express, as part of its expansion in Melbourne. The Eastern Express will begin operations on August 31, 2025, connecting Box Hill Central and Melbourne Airport, while the Sunshine Express will start on November 9, 2025, linking Sunshine Station and Melbourne Airport. Additionally, SkyBus plans to transition its Melbourne fleet to fully electric vehicles by 2031, starting with the Sunshine Express. This initiative includes the introduction of Australia's first electric double-decker buses by mid-2027.
