Brian Glod has been appointed as the global head of aviation and space, while Tony Ambrose will serve as the global chairman of the same division. Both appointments are effective from September 1. Glod, based in New York, will join Marsh’s global specialty executive committee and report to Andrew George, president of Marsh Specialty. Ambrose, based in London, will report to Dominic Samengo-Turner, CEO of Marsh Specialty, UK, and Glod. Additionally, Patton Kline has been named to succeed Glod as the regional aviation and space practice leader for the U.S. In another development, Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers has appointed Alan Ferguson as CEO of US Assure, effective September 1. Ferguson, who has been with Ryan Specialty since 1993, will continue to serve as president of US Assure, succeeding Ty Petway, who is retiring.
