Whitewater Processing LLC has commenced construction on a new 85,000-square-foot facility in Dearborn County, Indiana. Whitewater Processing, a family-owned business since 1932, specializes in harvesting turkeys and producing raw cuts of meat for commercial sale. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. (IEDC) is supporting the project with up to $750,000 in Hoosier Business investment tax credits, contingent on job creation. Additionally, the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) secured an $8.1 million grant from the USDA’s Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program to assist the company.
