Publishing Scotland is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its distribution arm, BookSource, which was established in 1995 to fill a gap left by the Albany Book Company. BookSource, based in Glasgow, provides distribution services for over 170 publishers, including warehouse and stock management, trade order fulfillment, and servicing Amazon's orders. The celebration coincided with the Edinburgh International Book Festival, where Marion Sinclair, the outgoing CEO of Publishing Scotland, was honored for her contributions since 2008.
