The CIO Association of Canada (CIOCAN) is promoting the inclusion of Chief Information Officers (CIOs) in board governance to address the growing importance of technology in strategic decision-making. Partnering with the Rotman School of Management, CIOCAN has developed the CIO.D designation to equip technology leaders with governance insights and strategic perspectives. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between technology and enterprise strategy, ensuring that CIOs can effectively influence decisions related to growth, competitiveness, and risk.
