What's Happening?
Kazchrome, a subsidiary of Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), has installed a new air purification system at its Aksu Ferroalloy Plant in Kazakhstan. The system, supplied by Siemens and ZVVZ, captures 99.5% of dust generated during production, representing an investment of approximately $15 million. This installation includes over 4,000 bag filters and can clean up to 950,000 cubic meters of air per hour, potentially trapping around 16,000 tonnes of dust annually. The initiative is part of ERG's environmental strategy to exceed international standards in waste gas purification.
