The relocation covered a distance of 27 km and was completed in just 10 days, setting a new benchmark for dragline transportation. Mammoet utilized Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs) to carry the dragline, significantly reducing downtime and wear on the machine. This method was previously employed by Mammoet in 2017, but this operation required additional equipment and expertise due to strict customs requirements and the need to cross a critical rail line within a limited timeframe.
