Flagship Minerals, an ASX-listed company, has entered into a binding agreement with Anglo American Norte to acquire a comprehensive historical exploration dataset for the Pantanillo gold project in Chile. This dataset includes nearly 33,000 meters of drilling data from 148 holes, 13,949 meters of diamond core, over 2,100 geochemical samples, and ground magnetic survey data. The acquisition is expected to fast-track resource conversion and project development at a significantly reduced cost compared to replicating the data, which Flagship estimates would cost up to A$31 million and take four to five years. The data transfer is set to occur from Anglo's storage facilities in Copiapó.
