New Delhi: At least nine schools in the national capital received bomb threat calls and emails on Monday, triggering panic among students, parents and school authorities.

The threat messages warned of an explosion later in the day, around 1:11 pm. According to Delhi Police, the messages were received between 8:30 am and 9:00 am, following which emergency protocols were immediately activated. Police teams, fire department officials and bomb disposal squads were rushed to the affected school premises. Schools that received the threats include:

\nAccording to Police, thorough searches were conducted at all locations. As a precautionary measure, students and staff were evacuated in some schools, while classes were suspended in others. No suspicious object has been found so far.\n

What the Threat Email Said

\nAs per Delhi Police, the threat email carried provocative language and extremist references. The message claimed that “Delhi will become Khalistan” and mentioned “Khalistan National Army.” It also included references to Afzal Guru.\n
