Delhi-Agra Expressway Crash: At least four people were killed and several others were injured after multiple vehicles collided in Mathura on the Delhi–Agra

Expressway early on Tuesday, December 16, triggered a massive fire. A collision involving three cars led to a pile-up of seven buses at Milestone 127 in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh during the early hours. Several buses caught fire following the crash, prompting a large-scale rescue operation. The incident took place on the Agra-Noida lane of the Delhi-Agra Expressway.

\nThe reason for the crash was \"low visibility,\" according to SSP Mathura, Shlok Kumar. \"The rescue operation is nearing completion, and so far, 4 people have died. 25 people have been admitted to the hospital, and none of them are in a serious condition...\" he added. \"The road was blocked due to the accident, so traffic has been diverted. The buses will be removed from the site soon,\" the SSP told news agency PTI. \n

The Chief Minister immediately took notice of the incident and dispatched us to the scene for rescue operations. He has directed that the injured be given the best possible treatment and that an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each be given to the families of those who lost their lives... \nAn eyewitness said, \"An accident took place and nearly 3-4 buses caught fire... I was sleeping when the accident occurred. The bus was fully occupied. All the seats were full. The accident occurred around 4 am.\"\n

\nTwo persons, including a CISF Inspector, were killed and several others injured on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway on Monday in a pileup involving multiple vehicles, reportedly due to dense fog in Haryana's Nuh district. \n

\n\"Two people have died in the incident, which includes a CISF inspector from Alwar, and another from Jaipur,\" a police official from Nuh district said over the phone. The low visibility due to dense fog in the area reportedly caused the accident, he said.\n

\n\"The two people who died in the incident were travelling in separate vehicles,\" the police official said. Police said that multiple vehicles were involved in the pileup, including cars, a bus, and a truck.\n
