EV soon. The new SUV will be the carmaker's first-ever Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) model for India and will mark Toyota's entry in the growing EV market. Based on the model that has already been launched in the European market, we have a good idea of what to expect from the new offering. Here are the launch date and specification details that you need to know. The Urban Cruiser EV will launch in India on January 20, 2025. The India-spec version can be expected to offer a front-wheel drive configuration and the all-wheel drive version may follow at a later time. This leads us to believe that the new EV will feature a battery pack of 49 kWh capacity that would return a claimed range figure of approximately 500 km on a full charge.
