In a big development in the Rohit Shetty house firing case, the Mumbai police have now uncovered possible links to an international conspiracy. According to sources, the shooters allegedly received payments

directly in their bank accounts, with cash withdrawals carried out through ATMs to avoid immediate detection. Officials also revealed that the funds were deposited by an unidentified individual. This has raised suspicions about a larger network operating behind the attack.

To trace the financial trail, banks have also been directed to provide detailed account statements and transaction histories related to the accused.

Apart from this, during the probe, investigators also found clues pointing towards funding routes connected to Nepal. Authorities are now examining a suspected link to what is being referred to as the “Agra module”.

The Mumbai Police have formed multiple special teams to intensify the investigation and identify the mastermind behind the incident.

What Happened At Rohit Shetty’s House?

For the uninitiated, five rounds of bullets were fired at filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence on January 31. The investigation by the Mumbai Crime Branch revealed that the vehicle used in the firing was sourced from Pune.

The vehicle used in the firing belongs to a man from Pune, who sold it to Aditya Gayki, one of the arrested accused, for Rs 30000 a few days ago. Later, Aditya Gayki and another accused, Samarth Pomaji, left the vehicle at a pre-decided place in Juhu area of Mumbai. According to the Crime Branch, the people who bought the vehicle and reached Mumbai do not know who the shooter is, later it was Shubham Lonkar who ordered the shooter to pick up the vehicle from where it was left and fire.

The STF Unit in Bahadurgarh, along with Mumbai Police, has arrested five men in the case as of now. Further investigation is underway.
