cancellations and airport chaos. His address came on a day IndiGo’s shares rose to ₹5,071 apiece in the morning, reflecting renewed market confidence.

Elbers said the past two weeks had been “very challenging,” but praised employees for standing “tall and united,” thanking pilots, cabin crew, airport staff, operations control, customer service teams and support functions whose “collective dedication” he described as the backbone of IndiGo. He noted that after announcing stabilisation on December 9, the airline restored its network to 2,200 flights.

Elbers said the disruptions appeared to be “a compounding effect of several factors,” and urged staff to avoid speculation while an external aviation expert appointed by the board conducts a detailed review.
