Work on India’s first underground bullet train station is moving fast in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). A new clip gives people a close look at how the massive project is taking shape, both through

a detailed model and the real construction site. The man behind the camera walks viewers through the scale, depth and cost of the station, calling it a major step in India’s high-speed rail journey between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

The clip opens with a man behind the camera saying, “this, is India’s first bullet train project in BKC, Mumbai.” As he speaks, he shows a detailed model of the underground station. The model has multiple levels, bright yellow-lit interiors, pillars, staircases and platforms. A sleek red bullet train can be seen on the lower level, giving a clear idea of how the finished station may look from inside.

He Shows How The Station May Look Inside

He further explains, “The underground bullet train station will be something like this. Let’s show you how big this project is from the outside, so you can see it from the front.” The camera then shifts from the model to the actual construction site.

The outside view shows a huge open pit in the ground. Tall cranes stand on both sides. Deep concrete walls line the site, and heavy machines are placed around the area. The space looks massive, stretching far into the distance.

He Highlights How Deep The Project Goes

“This is the project where this bullet train station is being built a hundred feet underground. Let’s show you. You can see it here. Just by looking at it, you will be horrified that this station is being built so deep,” he says.

The camera moves across the site, showing workers in helmets and safety jackets standing near steel bars and pillars being set into place. The depth of the pit is clearly visible, with layers of construction work happening far below ground level.

He Explains The Cost And Layout

He then said, “Speaking of the cost, the station alone will cost Rs 2,000 crores. This will be India’s first underground bullet train station, running between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. This will be the terminus. From here, the bullet train will depart for Ahmedabad again.”

Explaining more in details he said, “There will be a total of six platforms below. You can see that the six platforms will be below: Basement Two, Basement One, where you have waiting rooms, etc., and on Basement One, the bullet train will run below, and on Basement Three, you will find the equipment room. This is our country’s high-speed rail project.”

Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Fares

According to The Indian Express, Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that ticket prices for the upcoming Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train will be set to compete with existing train and flight fares.

The 508‑km high‑speed corridor is being built with help from Japan and aims to slash travel time between the two cities. Vaishnaw told Parliament that the plan is to keep fares attractive so passengers have a choice between the bullet train, regular trains and flights.
