One of the most intense moments in the film recreates the horrifying night of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Ranveer Singh’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari, witnesses the celebration of the attackers’ handlers as bombs explode and lives are lost. A red screen appears that displays transcripts of real voice recordings between terrorists and their handlers while the audio of those conversations plays over it. 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attack Survivor Reacts To Dhurandhar

Recently, author Rajita Bagga, who survived the attack at the Taj Hotel with her husband Ajay Bagga, shared her response to this scene on social media.

“I was in the Taj Hotel on the night of 26/11 with my husband Ajay Bagga. We were fortunate to survive the heinous terrorist attack that night and were rescued alive after 14 hours,” she wrote on X.

She explained how the red screen and voice recordings “just sent shivers through my body.” For her, the most horrifying part was seeing the handlers celebrating the death and destruction caused by the terrorists.

“The most bone-chilling scene in Dhurandhar for me was the red screen where the actual voice recordings of the 26/11 terrorists and their handlers were played. To hear what the handlers were instructing the terrorists to do, how brutal, inhuman and disgusting it was – just sent shivers through my body. To see the scene recreated from the other side- the handlers celebrating at every bomb going off & every person killed – if that doesn’t fill us with rage and renewed commitment to national security, what else will?” Rajita wrote.

She reflected on the personal impact: “17 years have passed but the memory of what happened and what could have happened to us just shook me to the core. Gut wrenching and painful.”

Rajita also praised the filmmakers for conveying the scale of the tragedy in “just those 2-3 minutes.” Rajita highlighted Ranveer Singh’s performance, writing, “That look of Ranveer Singh will haunt an entire generation.”

Her post prompted strong reactions from viewers online with one user commenting, “It was chilling to hear this!!”

Another shared a personal memory: “I was in high school at that time, on the day of 26/11 I was busy in school & then coaching as usual, but in the evening when I came home, I came to know what was happening. The live action/horror was being broadcast. I still remember the bone-chilling horror & trauma.”

Espionage and the Storyline
