According to The Times of India, Hollywood filmmaker Christopher Nolan has been approached to supervise the final edit. The report also quoted rumours suggesting producer Namit Malhotra got Christopher Nolan on board for a post-production role. However, there has been no official statement or confirmation about this newest update. The report also stated that Nolan, along with his frequent collaborator cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, might work on the project for 72 days, starting in August 2026.

According to Mid-Day, Ramayana makers are in advanced talks with San Diego Comic-Con for a grand trailer launch. If everything goes well, the launch would position the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, planned as a two-part film, alongside some of the biggest international franchise showcases. A source told the portal, “Comic-Con gives it a global platform. The idea is to present the mythological drama not just as an Indian epic, but as a cinematic spectacle to the world. The feedback at the screening has strengthened the team’s belief that the film can travel across cultures.”

As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the development revealed that Rahman is racing against time to complete crucial portions of the score before the grand announcement. “There is a major event for Namit Malhotra-Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana coming up in March 2026, in which all the actors and technicians of the film will be announced to the public. Rahman needs to complete his work before that event. He will be working at a more rapid pace than usual to meet the deadline,” the source shared.

Ranbir will be seen playing the role of Lord Rama while Sai Pallavi essays Sita. Yash will be seen as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Laxman. Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha, and Indira Krishnan are also a part of this project. The first part of Ramayana will release on the big screens on Diwali 2026, while the second part will hit theatres in 2027.
