\nFrom his directorial debut Arya (2004), Sukumar was hailed a filmmaker to watch and he won the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Telugu at the 52nd Filmfare Awards South ceremony. For Arya 2, the two reunited and of course, their collaboration on the Pushpa films became historic. Allu Arjun won his first National Film Award for Best Actor, and fourth Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu for his work as sandalwood smuggler Pushpa Raj in Pushpa: The Rise. \n
