New Delhi: Google has rolled out a significant update to Flow, its AI-powered creative platform. The company says the revamp is aimed at making the tool

more powerful and easier to use for creators. Since launching last year, Flow has been used to generate more than 1.5 billion images and videos across films, music videos and brand campaigns.

This newest update is revamped to allow Google to transform flow to a place where image and video creation can be done in one clean space. Its objective is straightforward: minimise friction and enable creators to go through ideas to the final image without using several tools.

Image and Video creation now in one place

Google has combined major elements of its experimental applications, Whisk and ImageFX, directly into Flow. Users do not have to switch platforms to make and edit visuals. Since the creation of images and their optimisation and conversion to videos are all possible in Flow.

The integration will streamline the work processes. Producers have the ability to control their work better without wasting time exporting and importing assets to various services.

Nano Banana fully integrated into flow

Google has even made Nano Banana a part and parcel of Flow. This allows the users to create high-quality images and immediately use them as frames or elements in projects powered by Veo in video. The company says that one can even create images for free within Flow.

The first users will be in a position to migrate their Whisk and ImageFX projects and assets into Flow to facilitate a smooth transition starting in March of this year.

New asset grid and smarter editing tools

In the understanding that the creative process may get sloppy, Google has added a new grid of assets within Flow. Images and videos can be filtered and sorted with the help of the grid. It is also possible to put assets together in collections to enhance organising by users.

Flow also has a new lasso tool which allows users to choose certain parts in an image and manipulate them through simple textual commands. As a case in point, a user can enter such commands as the removal of the man or the addition of koi fish in the water. They are also able to draw on the picture so as to demonstrate the exact changes that should take place.
