New Delhi: The MG Majestor is set to be launched on February 12th, 2025, as the carmaker’s flagship full-size SUV. The Majestor SUV was first shown at

the 2025 Auto Expo and has been spotted testing on the Indian roads for some time now. The MG Majestor is heavily based on the Maxus D90 SUV sold in the Chinese and Saudi Arabian markets.

It comes with a huge grille with gloss-black elements, all of which make it look rather aggressive. Right beside the grille are the vertically stacked LED headlights, above which you have sleek eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs. The lower section of the front bumper comes with a rugged black cladding with silver elements in the middle, giving Majestor an off-roader look.\n

The body cladding continues on the wheel arches and lower portion of the Majestor’s profile. The SUV comes with dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels that look similar to those on the Gloster. Apart from this, you get black door handles, black roof rails, a black bumper with faux silver skid plate, connected LED tail lamp and exhaust tip on both sides.

While details of the Majestor’s cabin weren’t revealed at the 2025 Auto Expo, in the test cars seen so far, it is similar to the Maxus D90. So the Indian-spec Majestor should likely get a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen, a similar-sized digital driver’s display, a three-spoke steering wheel with a column-mounted drive selector stalk.

While the Majestor is to be placed above the Gloster, it should get more features, coming as another three-row offering from the brand. With Gloster, you have the usual offerings like a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, a 12-speaker sound system, 3-zone automatic climate control, a powered tailgate and heated and powered front seats, with an additional massage function for the driver’s seat.

In terms of powertrain, it should come with a 2-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that makes 216 bhp and 479 Nm of torque. The Gloster gets an eight-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheel and Majestor is likely to be the same. The Majestor will fight with Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
