A Floating City With 20 Decks Legend of the Seas will match its sister ships in size, joining the Icon Class fleet with a staggering 248,663 gross tonnage. It will accommodate up to 5,610 passengers across 20 decks, which is roughly the population of a small town! Its Route The ship will first sail through the Mediterranean, departing from Barcelona and Rome. Come winter, it will reposition to Fort Lauderdale in Florida for Caribbean itineraries, including stops at Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay. So whether you are dreaming of European coastlines or beautiful Caribbean waters, this ship will be doing both within its first year. The Largest Waterpark at Sea For anyone who thinks cruises are just about lounging by a pool, Legend of the Seas might change your mind. Onboard is the largest waterpark at sea, featuring six waterslides along with mat racing and raft rides. Beyond the slides, guests can relax and ease their minds in the 7 pools and 10 whirlpools spread across the ship. There is also a 40-foot-long FlowRider surf simulator where you can try your balance skills without ever touching the ocean.
