\n Bachchan confirmed the development through his personal blog, where he posted photographs from the Hyderabad shoot. He appeared in costume as Ashwatthama, the son of Dronacharya - a role he played in the first film. In one of the posts, he mentioned meeting “the great KAMAL HAASAN” and noted that they would be “working together after ages .. last in Giraftar.”\n\n

\n Bachchan and Haasan previously collaborated in Geraftaar, directed by Prayag Raaj. The 1985 release also featured Poonam Dhillon and Rajnikanth and was among the year’s top-grossing films. Their reunion now comes in a very different cinematic setting.\n
