\n With the commissioning of this capacity, the commercial renewable capacity of the NTPC Green Energy group stands at 7,889.335 MW, while the group’s total installed capacity has risen to 7,927.26 MW, the company said.\n\n

\n The Khavda project is located in Gujarat’s Kutch district, which has emerged as a key hub for large-scale renewable energy installations, supported by high solar irradiance and strong evacuation infrastructure.\n

\n NTPC Green Energy, the renewable arm of state-run NTPC Ltd, has been steadily adding solar and hybrid capacities as part of its broader push to expand clean energy generation and support India’s energy transition goals.\n

\n The company reported a 131.6% year-on-year increase in net profit at ₹88 crore for the September quarter, compared to ₹38 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter stood at ₹612.3 crore, up 21.5% from ₹503.8 crore in Q2FY25. The company’s EBITDA came in at ₹529.6 crore, reflecting a 26% growth from ₹420.2 crore in the year-ago period. EBITDA margin for the quarter improved to 86.5%, compared to 83.4% in Q2FY25.\n\n
