\n The largest share of the investment is a 5.8 trillion won AI data centre equipped with 50,000 GPUs to support autonomous driving and robot learning, according to South Korea’s land ministry. Hyundai will also spend 1 trillion won on a water electrolysis facility producing 80 tons of green hydrogen a day and 1.3 trillion won on a solar plant to power the projects.\n

\n The facilities will be built in the Saemangeum area, about 270 kilometres southwest of Seoul. The project includes Hyundai’s first robot factory in South Korea, costing 400 billion won, to mass produce wearable robots and industrial and logistics machines and to develop a robot parts cluster.\n\n

\n Hyundai signed an investment agreement with seven government agencies after partnering with Nvidia Corp. in October to build a national physical AI cluster using Blackwell accelerators.\n

Atlas Robot Targets Factory Work\n
